Well Thursday was a bit of a bore. Cody went to work. He was busy making lots of medical calls. Noah and I had plans to visit friends, but the roads weren't very dependable for me to drive on with a child, so we stayed home. For the entire morning, Noah and I sat in the recliner...literally all morning. I read a Young Adult Literature book called
The Compound by SA Bodeen and Noah watched
Playhouse Disney. Yeah, I know...Bad mommy for allowing too much tv, but what do you do when you're snowed in and you find yourself in the middle of a fantastic book? I had to keep the kiddo occupied! We also ate all...day...long. I'm definitely packing on some extra pounds! After nap, we attempted to make Frosty, but the snow was still too powdery outside. So we just played in the snow. Once back in and de-bundled, Noah wanted to paint...so we did; a pretty good painting I might add. We just started painting the blue and green which Noah said it looked like "outside". He took some blue and smeared it on the green which we made into a pond complete with a dock and two ducks. I asked him what animals he would like on his picture and he said, "A porcupine and a peacock" (his must-sees at the zoo). So we used our hands to make the animals' bodies. Noah added in clouds and I painted the bright yellow sun. He's quite proud of our masterpiece. After we got cleaned up from our painting adventure, I taught Noah how to play Tag (which is Noah's new favorite game and great cardio for running off those extra pounds I've obtained!) and then played an old goodie; Hide-n-Seek. Noah is a terrible hider! He has two places he always hides-under the kitchen table or inside the cushioned coffee table. He also hangs out halfway so you immediately see him. And once you're really close, he yells, "Boo!" as if you didn't know he was there. I think he'd play that game forever. Snow Day #3 overall was slow, but looking forward to Snow Day #4!
