Apples at the Pumpkin Patch

My best friend, Abby, and I took our kids to McFarlin's Pumpkin Patch on Sunday afternoon. It was gorgeous weather and a good photo op, too, or so we thought...
As soon as we pulled into the parking lot, Noah started squealing "apples" at the sight of pumpkins. He gets so excited when he sees pumpkins - plastic or real. All of them are apples; not pumpkins. Noah is a little confused. He ran around to each heaping stack and pointed, "Apple. Apple. Apple." until he was dizzy.

I then chased him down and corralled him for this fantastic photo op Abby and I planned. Little did we know trying to get a 19-month old to sit still and a 3-month old to sit up would be very difficult. So needless to say, we got very few posed pictures that were decent and none with the kids together...

Noah was impressed with this oddly shaped "apple". He pretended to eat it.

Miss Kynlee posed with her baby "apple" just long enough for Mom to let go so Aunt Alison could snap a picture before she tipped over.
It wouldn't be true form unless this little boy rolled in the hay before we left which he quickly found out was itchy. Mama had to save him!
Noah picked out a Noah-sized "apple" to take home which he carries around with him everywhere. We work on the word "pumpkin", but it seems to be a little daunting for Noah to say. So for now, pumpkins are apples.
