Advanced

Noah goes to school once a week to North Haven's Mother's Day Out program. He loves it. He is just blossoming socially. His teachers do such a great job with arts and crafts and play time. They let him explore and be rowdy. We love North Haven - It gives Cody a break during the week to do his own thing - or sleep from late nights at the fire station. Sadly, I miss most of Noah's experiences at North Haven because I'm teaching school. Kim, the director, keeps me in the loop as much as possible.

Before I share with you her latest email, let me preface it with this. Noah's favorite words this week are apple, puppy and Abby. The word puppy came from Dora the Explorer show. Abby is in reference to my best friend, Abby. He just starts hollering, "Abby, Abby!" and looking around for her. Too cute. He started saying apple about three days ago. We have a board book with a giant green apple in it. This book has buttons. When you push them it says the word pictured. Noah loves to hear apple. (This book was a birthday present from one of his North Haven teachers.) And there are pumpkins set up at school as props for pictures and, of course, fall decor. Enjoy Kim's note. I was just beaming when I read it.

Alison:
I believe Noah is advanced! I wish you could have seen him as he chatted away (a lot that can be understood by the way) during school pictures. All the pumpkins were "apples" and he was pretending to eat them! And he loved making three grown women laugh!
