Alison is 27!

On my birthday, Cody planned a great evening for us in Tulsa. We headed to Seminole to drop off Noah. Nana made my favorite homemade cake of hers - strawberry margarita! Yummy! Noah helped me blow out the candles and make a wish!

Before we left, we had to check out Dam Eugene on the back part of the property. Noah, Cody and I rode in the back of the pickup truck as Papa drove us to the dam with Nana riding shotgun.
This is Dam Eugene named after Cody's dad's middle name. It used to be a huge canyon separating two meadows, making the one in the back hard to get to and almost unusable. Papa (Cody's dad) decided to have some bulldozers come in and dam up the canyon to make a huge lake. It will take a while for the water to fill, but you can see there is already some collecting! There are lots of great things planned for this spot - a zip line, picnic area, Bass fishing by the big rocks, campfires. We can't wait for it to fill up!

On the way back to the house, Noah drove literally. Papa did the gas, but Noah stirred. He's quite a serious and cautious driver at the age of one!
In Tulsa, we spent most of the afternoon at Woodland Hills mall where Cody showered me with a shopping spree! I'll be the best dressed teacher this school year. My poor hubby drained his pocket book. He was very sweet in helping me pick things out and then judging once I tried it all on. It wasn't his cup of tea, but he did it for me. Then Cody made reservations at Ti Amo Restuarante, an Italian restaurant. We had our own little private booth. We enjoyed a five course meal and a bottle of wine. It was very relaxing and enjoyable to just be with my honey.
Then next morning we headed on to Arkansas for a family birthday party at Cody's brother's home. We have five birthday within a month of each other, so a big party was planned to celebrate all of them. Kade, Cody's nephew, is the first to have a birthday in July on the 22nd. He turned five. He is always in his underwear. It's too cute.
Kade spent time pushing Noah around in the toy car and vice versa. They're good buddies.

Travis, 35 - August 19
Kade, 5 - July 22nd
Gene, 60 - August 3rd
Lexi, 13 - August 17th

Kade, showing off his presents. He got two movies for to watch in their media room and cool outdoor toys from Nana and Papa.

Lexi's gift was the coolest of all! Creative and Clever Nana taped a stream of dollar bills together inside a tissue box, so when Lexi pulled out the first tissue, a string of bills followed!
Of course we had some pool time. We couldn't keep Noah away from the pool!!
Sunday evening Noah and I headed to my grandparents' home in Oklahoma City to visit with my aunt Stephanie and her two kids, Maris and Elliot, who were in town.

We enjoyed visiting and playing with them. The best part was eating the Black Diamond watermelon. Noah couldn't get enough of it!! Aunt Stephanie sent us home with lots of goodies! It's not very often we get to see them, so when we do, we cherish it.

In short, this was a great birthday. Lots of time my honey and family. I wouldn't have it any other way.
