Our first birthday for the month of May was Cody's! He turned 35 years old!
We celebrated with a yellow birthday cake with chocolate frosting. Cody's youngest sister, Vica, came down to celebrate with us.
To change up birthday gifts, we decided to, of course, spoil Daddy, but give him a gift on every hour of his birthday leading up to the time he was born. That was fun. :)
Cody really wanted to go on a family trip for his birthday, so the week after his birthday we loaded the car and drove to Grapevine, Texas where we stayed overnight at the Great World Lodge. It's a giant hotel with a massive water park inside! Noah was stoked! He loves to stay in hotels!

We hung out at the arcade and visited the sweets shop.
We enjoyed story time before bed as a family.
And visited LegoLand the next day.
Prior to leaving, Cody and Noah read up on Great Wold Lodge. They watched the virtual tour of the water park. Noah was too excited about the slides! His favorite was the ride we road together as a family. We are excited to go back soon!
Our other birthday in May is Great Papa's. We celebrated 81 years young on May 19th! Noah helped blow out the candles on this ice cream cake. We love our Great Papa so much!
