So we did a little more demo to the acreage...Our good friend, Brett, brought his massive bulldozer out for a few days. He worked hard to rid our yard of dead trees and briars...And just the junk that was piled up everywhere.
The next five pictures are the BEFOREs. The trees you see pictured no longer exist. Nothing, but wide open spaces and lots of sand now.
The big tree in the forefront of this picture is the only thing left. (It's my favorite tree in the yard.)
The hill you see off the patio is now flat...Yes! Just a line of trees on the road to give us privacy are left. We used the dirt from that hill to cover up the pond...
This is the back of the property. No hill. All flat.
This is what was left of the pond before we demo-ed. It was a little watering hole. Really quite pathetic...

We pushed all the trees and shrubs into the pond then covered it with dirt...The stinky pond is no more.
We still have work to do...still a bit more to bulldoze and smooth out, bring in top soil, trim the trees on the high line and road and seed for grass. It is light years better than it was! No more dead trees or briars!! In another year, we'll have a nice open back yard. Couldn't be more excited about that!
We are making head way on our five-year plan!
