And then it was the big day! I spent the morning getting my hair did with Kate and the bridesmaids. We had a nice lunch just us girls. Noah stayed with Mimi while Aunt Kristin took Grandma to get her hair done, too. After lunch Noah arrived at the church to get in his tux for pictures. Isn't he so handsome? He's just the cutest little man!

He might be the cutest little man, but he was still so ornery! The task soon became keeping him clean until after the "I Dos". Mimi brought the portable DVD player, so Noah was occupied with
Tom and Jerry while we counted down the time for the wedding to begin.

Fall in Wisconsin is so beautiful. The trees were changing which added simple beauty to the wedding day. The weather was just right, too, for lots of outdoor pictures. Noah did so great posing for many, many pictures.

The bride and groom.
Katie and Ethan decided to see each before the wedding. This way they were able to get a lot of pictures taken ahead of time instead of making guests wait after the ceremony. Mimi stole several shots while Katie and Ethan posed for the wedding photographer.

What a little gentleman! I processed down the aisle before Noah did. (The bridesmaids were escorted by the groomsmen. My escort was Ethan's college friend, Mike.) Aunt Kristin stayed back with Noah, so he'd get a good start and know when to go. He was perfect. He held the pillow, minus the rings of course, and walked very slow smiling the whole time. He walked right over and stood by me at the alter. I knew he wouldn't last the whole ceremony, which was only 25 minutes, so once Katie was down the aisle, her daddy had given her away and the pastor opened in prayer, I scooted Noah back down the aisle to Aunt Kristin while
everyone's eyes were closed. The ceremony was wonderfully touching, romantic and funny. The pastor did a great job giving godly advice to Katie and Ethan. They have a wonderful and blissful marriage ahead of them.

Ethan is such a great compliment to my cousin. What I love the most about the both of them is how much they adore my son. We don't see each other as often as we'd like given the miles between us, but when we do, they are so very attentive to Noah and eager to play.
The reception was the The Lodge. Dinner was served, toasts were made, the cake was cut and then the bar was open and the dancing began. It was great to spend an evening with family.

From left to right: Cousin Holly, Uncle Steve (my mom's brother), Aunt Terri, Cousin Erik, Ally, Jeremy's fiance, and Cousin Jeremy. Ally and Jeremy plan to wed December 31st in College Station, Texas.
Great Aunt Emma with her grandsons, Nolan and Connor
Nolan and Connor's mom and my cousin, Karen, with her husband.
Grandma, Kristin, Mimi, Noah and me. This was the best picture of us and Uncle Steve walked into it...on purpose. [Mom's mad at you for that, Uncle Steve! ;)]
Mother and her daughters: Aunt Nancy, Grandma and Mimi.

Noah's all-night dance partner. I don't know her name, but she's older. She's four. Yep. They danced literally the whole time. Noah twirled her and tackled her. She wanted to dance close, but every time she tried to get Noah to close dance, he'd push her away. He was setting healthy boundaries. ;) When he didn't dance with her, he danced by himself. You may see him on So You Think You Can Dance later in life! He loves music! :)
Kristin and Uncle Steve. Goofballs.

We had such a nice time. Thanks, Kate and Ethan, for including us in your Big Day! We are so glad to have shared in that memory with you. We wish you life-long happiness together.
