A week off from work opened up some time for me to take my sweet boy for a zoo day. Friday Noah and I loaded up and headed to the
OKC zoo. Apparently everyone in this great state had the same idea! Good thing we are Zoo Friends this year because we didn't have to wait in the massive line outside! We just flashed our pass and waltzed right on in. Noah was thrilled to spend the morning looking at the animals. Our mission: to see the new Asian Elephants exhibit since the elephants were back from the Tulsa zoo. The new exhibit is
strategically placed all the way in the back so you have to walk by every other animal just to get to the elephants! And then when you're there, so is everyone else. It's a huge nine acre exhibit. Once you walk in, you have to walk the whole thing because there's only one way out. It's wonderful for these enormous animals to have all the land to roam, but not so much if you're a mere human...Noah and I were pooped after walking the whole zoo to get there and then the 9 acres to see two
stinkin' elephants who weren't very close to see anyway...Can you hear the disappoint? Well we were. Noah was so disappointed because he didn't get to say hello to them either...Needless to say, we still had a lot of fun just the two of us. It was a great day to spend with my little buddy.
