Our Monday evenings this summer were spent at the ballpark watching Daddy play for Journey Gray in the Norman church softball league. Playing ball in some capacity has always been a big part of Cody's life. He's really good at it, too! (Isn't my husband handsome, by the way?)
Cody has played church league softball for several years, just always for a different team. He even played his old team a couple times this season! It has been loads of fun for our family.
Noah loved watching Daddy play. He could hardly sit still. I think we might have a future ball player on our hands!

He was always up at the fence cheering on Daddy whether Daddy was at bat or playing short stop. Noah would wish Daddy luck with a kiss through the chain link fence. It was too cute.

Playing silly games in between innings. Getting face time with Daddy.
Lots of our friends from church were there, too! Even grandparents, too!! Mimi made it to the games, so she could get more time with Noah and she enjoys watching Cody play.
The daddies all play and the mommies bring the kids. We spread out blankets to make a palate for the kids to sit on.
Here's a couple of daddies, Cody and Bryan Waldenville (long time friend, team captain and our campus pastor) being silly in the dugout.
After the game, the families would pack up and head to a nearby jungle gym for extra family time before the mommies would head home to put the kids to bed while the daddies stayed for their second game. One evening Cody sent all the kids down the big red slide. Noah loved it! On belly or bottom - didn't matter. He was going down and with a smile spread across his face!
Though the team placed 5th overall, spirits were high. And whether a win or a loss, both teams met just passed home plate to close every game in a word of prayer. In short, our Mondays will always be memorable to us - making stronger friendships, watching Daddy and being outdoors. We can't wait for next season!
