The East Campus for Journey Church closed down at the beginning of summer because the church bought a new location (an old bowling alley) and is renovating the new location. Today the church threw a block party for all the neighbors. It was Noah's first opportunity to serve for the glory of God! We made it a special family service project. When we got there, Daddy used his muscles to help anchor the many inflatables down to the ground.
Before the block party started, Noah and I got some jumping time in one of the inflatables. He had a blast jumping around with me.
Noah, Mimi (my mom) and I manned one of the inflatables getting to know parents as their tiny children jumped! It was a lot of fun, although very hot - 100 degrees. Of course we douced Noah in sunscreen before we left the house! No sunburn for him! Cody shot some hoops with men from the church and a couple neighborhood teens. This is going to be a great opportunity for growth of the church as well as outreach to the neighborhoods. It seems to be a lower economic area. We are excited about the opportunity to serve in our community. It's all for the Kingdom.
