So last Friday, my department (Reading) hosted a tattoo booth at our school end-of-the-year carnival. Our students buy tickets to participate in various booths such as musical chairs, a hot dog eating contest, jail, crazy hair and all sorts of junk food. They get out of the last two hours of the school day in order to do this. We, my reading girls, tatted ourselves out (with temporary tattoos, of course) and pimped the hot rod clothing - skulls, bandanas, animal prints - to form a mean looking crew. Our students were intimidated, but we still sold a lot of tattoos! We use the money to buy classroom supplies for the following school year. I work with the best bunch of ladies! What a blast this year has been. Seven more school days and then, summer here I come!
