The Big Top

I took Mimi and Noah to the India Shrine Circus at the State Fair Arena a few weeks ago. It was Noah's first time to see the big top. We had to do it up right, so he got a light-up scepter and of course, we enjoyed some nachos and cotton candy.
The lights went out signifying the show was beginning. It was really good to see all the kids' light-up toys on around the arena. Noah thought that was cool.
The first act were the tigers - 7 to be exact - and their crazy ringmaster! He has tigers jumping through rings of fire and walking on tightropes. It was pretty cool.
There were funny dogs, monkeys, bicyclists and a unicyclist, acrobats on the tightrope and on a swing.
This little guy was probably seven years old and made riding a unicycle look easy!!

Then the Ice Queen came out for the final act before intermission. She had these glorious wings and sparkly outfit. Whatever was attached to her head allowed her to spin in circles from a rope. It was really neat. During her final spin, she spun all her sparkles off. It was a rain shower of diamonds!
We didn't stay for the entire performance. Noah was done after the first act. No wonder since it was 9:30 p.m. That's late for Noah to be up and about. We did have a good time and hope to see the big top again next time they are in town.
