Swing, Swang, Swung

Since our home sits on 2 acres now, I thought it was a good idea to get Noah a swing set since we actually have room for it in the backyard. So like any good shopper, I scoured Craig's List for a good find. And did I find one! A brand-new swing set barely used since April was listed for $85. I emailed the lady. She said I'd have to tear it down and load it myself because she was in the middle of moving houses. I told her that was fine if she'd sell it to me for $60. She agreed! (Also I might add this exact swingset is priced at $127 in stores. I got an amazing steal!) So I enlisted the help of Mimi and off we went on a little jaunt up to Edmond to retrieve our new find. It took us about 30 minutes to tear it down in small enough pieces to load it in the truck bed. And Daddy was waiting when we got home to help us set it back up. Noah was thrilled!! (You can tell from the pictures below just how much he loves his swing set...and he doesn't mind the dirt either since it's covering his sweet face.)

Then my best friend, Abby, traveled to Ghana to deliver mosquito nets to Africans. While she was away, we helped Jesse, her husband, by keeping Kynlee for a day. Noah was thrilled to have his Kynlee over. They played in the morning then the three of us headed to the Warren movie theater to see CARS 2. With popcorn and a backpack full of snacks, we got ready to watch the cinematic adventure. Noah was glued to the screen as I knew he would be. Kynlee did well for most of the movie and when she was done, she just nodded off to sleep. After that we headed back home to play in the sprinkler and on the new swing set until Jesse came to pick up Kynlee. These two play so well together and they had a lot of fun. They are just two peas in a pod.
