A Lucky Zoo Day!

Noah loves the zoo. He has asked nearly every day for the last two weeks if he could have a 'zoo day' again as he calls it. He starts listing off all his must-see animals: bats, tigers, peacocks, flamingos, snakes, condor, meerkats and the porcipine. So we went to the zoo with Mimi this past Saturday! It must have been our lucky day, too! A random lady in the parking lot gave us a free admissions pass for two adults, so we all got in for free! Since we didn't have to pay admission, we bought tickets to ride the tram which two tram tickets costs the same as one admissions ticket. We rode the tram out to see the giraffees, zebra and ostriches. We got off the tram at the Oklahoma Trails which is my favorite exhibit. We gobbled at the turkeys and they gobbled right back. Noah is a pretty good gobbler. At exactly noon, the tornado sirens went off for the usual test on Saturdays in Oklahoma City. All the wolves and coyotes went crazy! Noah and I howled along with them. It was really cool to watch! After we walked through the Oklahoma Trails, we stopped to eat our packed lunch. Mimi put in money for a bottle of water and two bottles fell down! We got two for the price of one! Another bit of luck! Every animal was out, except Noah's absolute must-see: the porcupine. However, the cougars in the Oklahoma Trials were out finally! One of the cougars came right over to the window and stared at us. All that separated us from this majestic cat was a sheet of glass. Way cool. We stopped off at a photo booth for some silly pictures to record our day. It was a great fall day to spend at the zoo for, just our luck, a little over $10!
