Buzz & Woody

Ah, Buzz and Woody. These are two common names in our household these days. Noah is obsessed with Toy Story 1 & 2! I think we watch parts of these movies daily. Cody and I can now recite several lines by heart. There is something about Buzz and Woody that Noah loves. If you've seen the movies, you'll know this part when Buzz and Woody are trying to get back into Andy's car at the gas station on their way to Pizza Planet and Buzz and Woody are wrestling under the car because Woody pushed Buzz out the window. Noah laughs big belly laughs at this part! He also gets a little sensitive when Sid's dog chases the moving van at the end of Toy Story 1. He doesn't want the doggy to get Woody! In Toy Story 2, at the beginning when Buzz flies in, Noah chants his names - "Ah, Buzz! Look at Buzz!" And then when the Chicken Man is at Andy's mom's garage sale and spots Woody, Noah starts shouting, "No Chicken Man! Not Woody!" Noah knows the Chicken Man is about to steal Woody!!
Mimi bought Noah a talking Rex toy. Rex is the green dinosaur. Then Auntie Kristin and Mimi bought Noah a Buzz Lightyear. And now he has Woody and Bullseye. Needless to say the collection has begun. I think my favorite part of Noah's little obsession is hearing him say "Yee-haw!" and then run through the house saying "To umbinitee an b-yun!" (translation: To infinity and beyond!-Buzz's coined phrase)
So we took Noah to see Toy Story 3. The first two are so cute and funny, we thought this would be fun for Noah. He liked it and was glued to the screen. Although there were several parts where Noah climbed up in my lap because he was scared. The movie is a lot darker than the first two. Not sure it was the best movie for a two-year-old, but knowing Mommy and Daddy were nearby seemed to ease his fear. He won't be seeing that movie again anytime soon, but the other two flicks will be favorites of his "to infinity and beyond".
