No longer would he eat fruits and vegetables. I tried everything to get him to eat something healthy - covering with melted cheese, dipped in various sauces, mashed or cooked inside something else - nothing worked. He'd eat the "good" part, but spit out the fruit or veggie. It would inevitably end up on the floor or in the dog's mouth.
My dad sent these super greens (which is basically finely ground vegetables into a powder) for kids. I've put a small pinch of greens in his yogurt a couple of mornings now. I was hesitate at first because I thought he'd refuse the "green" yogurt, but he hasn't. Last night I gave him some green beans with dinner and HE ATE THEM! I had an apple for a snack yesterday. Noah was so intrigued by how I was eating the apple. He'd come walking over for a lick, scrunch up his face and want another lick. Too cute.
For lunch today, I cut up an apple and put it inside the greatest invention ever! It's much like a pacifier, but has a net instead of a plastic nipple. You place fruit or whatever inside and your toddler can bite and suck out the juices. It's great because you don't have to worry about choking. I think with Noah it's a texture thing. This way he can still eat the healthy foods, but texture isn't an issue. He absolutely loved this! Yeah!
