THIS is the day the Lord has made and we are rejoicing and glad in it!
What a glorious day for family time. Cody and I took Noah to our church's Easter Egg Hunt this morning. We registered and mingled with friends. When it was time, Noah and I stood ready to "find" the brightly colored eggs strung across an open field. Noah held on to my hand and in his other was his tot-sized Easter basket waiting to be filled with plastic eggs. Daddy manned the camera to get all the action.
There were lots of little tots and preschoolers, too, so competition was steep! At first, Noah didn't know what to do. And of course, he wouldn't - he's a first timer! Once I showed him the pretty egg at his feet, he immediately bent down, picked it up and, with my encouragement, placed it in his basket. And off we went to get another! The grand total of eggs collect was...3! Noah enjoyed shaking the eggs and sticking them in his mouth. He hunted alongside his buddy, Ty, too!
After the hunt, we opened our eggs to find little prizes. Noah got his face painted with a big red OU! We had a little snack of animal crackers and gold fish. Then to finish off the morning, Noah enjoyed a nice jumo in the Thomas the Train mini moon bounce. He was having the time of his life! What a great start to this Easter Season! We can't wait to tell him what this holiday is really about in the years to come! He is Risen!
